In business, relevancy is everything.

The Business Case presents expert research, macro trends, and demographic insights that demonstrate why investing in diversity, equity, and inclusion is good for business.

The Business Case project was initiated in response to requests for data and tools to help build the case internally for why a socially conscious business is no longer a nice to have. A working group consisting of representatives from ODA member companies and ODA staff delivered the final Business Case to ODA members in early December, 2024, and a second edition in November 2025.
