Community Advisors

Centering the needs of people most impacted by the diversity, equity, and inclusion movement is foundational to ODA’s theory of change. Individuals from underrepresented communities bring their experience and expertise to guide decision-making. This group of individuals, referred to as our “Community Advisors”, participate in program development, surveys, virtual and in-person events, and working groups. All Community Advisors are paid for their time.

Community Advisors help ODA serve as a connector between the outdoor industry and their communities by sharing information about what the industry is doing well, where the industry is falling short, why the industry is struggling to make meaningful progress, and what they need from the industry to build trust and create a sense of belonging.
